I'm Mudit. I lead engineering at the Bank of New York, where I look after the Pinpoint client platform, the consolidation of the bank's sixty-odd public websites, and a front-end team I built from scratch for the direct indexing business.
The road here ran through Deutsche Bank, where my teams built the risk and financial data platforms that kept the bank's numbers honest, and before that Morgan Stanley, where I was the first engineer hired in India for Investment Management compliance technology and spent seven years turning that one desk into a team. Two decades, three banks, one slowly dawning realisation: the technology was never the hard part.
Outside of work I run local language models on a Mac Studio that is quieter than it has any right to be, run actual kilometres at speeds that embarrass no one but me, and reread Beckett at intervals. I used to do street theatre in Delhi. Some part of me still does.
